The Prequel-Sequel:
“…sometimes to move forward, you have to go back.”
After being taken from an orphanage, twelve-year-old Dorian Hawthorne finds himself in the middle of crazy experiments to create human weapons to exact vengeance on the enemies of Earth. When paranoia leads to terminating any evidence of the project, the newly enhanced Dorian is smuggled across the universe to escape death.
After crashing on the planet of Crygan, the superhuman teen hides out with an elderly woman who finds him in the desert. But laying low on a planet full of corruption and struggling citizens is difficult for someone like Dorian, who assumes the role of masked vigilante to use his abilities for good. When bodies mysteriously start piling up, related to whispers and shadows of some kind of monster hiding out on Crygan, Dorian races to solve the case before even more people die, unraveling a conspiracy bigger than he imagined.
If that weren’t enough, Dorian receives word of a military discovery of a gateway to another world in the sky. With the fear that no normal human can survive passing through, Dorian has to make a choice about taking up the mantel to launch into the lights in hopes of finding help for Crygan on the other side. What awaits him there will change the course of his life and history itself forever.
