Who is Dorian Hawthorne?
Seriously, he wants to know! Dorian can’t remember squat about his life before the orphaned teen woke up on the planet of Erroside as one of many rescued survivors of an attack that made Erroside the last place humans can call home (so they say). But Dorian doesn’t buy everything his new overlords are selling, especially since no one is allowed to leave without being obliterated.
It doesn’t take Dorian’s house parents long to realize that Dorian has otherworldly abilities and visions that he can’t explain, but which leave them wondering if he’s the answer to whether they’re truly alone in the universe.
When the truth about Dorian finally gets out, Dorian surrenders himself to the heinous Errosidian authorities in exchange for the safety of the only friends he has left. The results? He’s forced to perform like a pet in Erroside’s floating arena full of bots, bionic beasts, and battle royales, all while trying to figure out what Erroside is hiding.
When a mysterious source starts leaving letters and signs for Dorian to follow, indicating that they are not alone in the universe, Dorian has to make a choice between playing it safe or seizing on the chance to get his friends away from Erroside, the only place he believes he can protect them. If they can make it out alive, they might score not only their freedom, but the mind-blowing truth about the universe.
